So here is the mini Avon haul/review I mentioned in a recent post!
I bought SuperSHOCK eyeliner gel in Blackberry and Golden Fawn and pot eyeliner in Flashy Brown.
I will start with the eyeliner pencils, these are just fantastic, so creamy and very pigmented. Blackberry is a deep, warm brown with purple shimmer and small glitter pieces in it and Golden Fawn is a light goldeny grey colour again with shimmer and small glitters, I can’t actually tell if the glitter is gold or silver! Although they go on very smooth and creamily, they set quite quickly and do not budge! After taking that picture of the swatch on my hand I rubbed my finger over the swatches very vigorously to see what would happen and they pretty much stayed the same except for some of the glitter moved, but not any of the colour.
The pot eyeliner is quite different considering they are both under the SuperSHOCK name. It is much less pigmented and does not dry nearly as fast as the pencils do, making blending a lot easier. It is also quite sticky so I think it would be better as an eye base rather than an eye liner, as it would be a good adhesive for powders. The photo is not very good, I’m still trying to get to grips with this new camera! I had to use flash which washed it out quite a lot so it is not as pale as that, it is more of a coppery brown. However the swatch is a couple of rubs of the product on my hand whereas the pencils were just ran over once, so it is obvious to see the difference in the pigments of these two products. I have not tried it as an eyeliner yet so it will be interesting to see how well it lasts, I can imagine it will transfer onto the eyelid quite easily.
Please note: Avon lied about not testing on animals, they do in fact carry out toxicity tests.
I am just going to make these my last products I purchase from Avon. I am so disappointed in them!
